Chapter 15

Montel….

Montel thought about the information he just got from Shannon. She informed him that tonight was Money and Chaz’s grand opening of their club. Montel felt like it was perfect to go in there and try to air Grant and his bullshit little crew out. He, Shannon and Victoria got on the next flight out of Atlanta to New York.

“They on their way up top,” the unknown man said into his phone as he drove off to his private jet. Montel didn’t only have Grant and his crew beefing with him, he had the Mexican Mafia after him also. Mecca wasn’t aware that Montel got in contact with her father and was doing side dealings with him before she got sick. When Montel just up and left Mecca for dead, her father cut all dealings off with Montel and Montel owed him 10 million dollars. Juan didn’t want to kill him due to Montel being Montana’s father, but now all bets were off. He knew the truth about Montana being Grant’s daughter so Montel’s days were numbered.

Montel, Shannon and Victoria made it to New York in three hours. They went straight to Diann’s house, and Diann didn’t know what was going on with both the brothers, so she always welcomed Montel to her house. At the end of the day, he was her dead husband’s brother and he always looked out for her and her kids. Diann was going through it after Suzie’s death; she had her granddaughter to raise on her own. She missed her daughter every day and she vowed to find out what really happen that day Montana and Suzie were alone inside the room. She didn’t want to blame Montana for Suzie’s death, but she felt like she played a part in it.

“How you been Diann?” Montel asked hugging her. Diann pulled out of his hug wiping her face.

“I’ve been hanging in there, taking it one day at a time. I have to be strong for my grandbaby; she’s six months now. Thank God she pulled through after being born early,” Diann said, walking into the living room with Montel and Shannon following her while Victoria stood near the door. She was trying to find a way to leave Montel and this was the only time she could do it, while he wasn’t paying attention to her every move.

“That’s good; you still have a piece of Suzie with you. You got a second chance to do right by your granddaughter and be a better mother to her than you were to Suzie and Zach Jr,” Montel said looking at her. Diann swallowed the lump in her throat. She just nodded her head at him. They sat and talked for a few hours before Diann showed them to the two guest rooms that they could use. Montel looked around to see if he spotted Victoria but she was long gone.

“I told you to keep an eye out on that bitch, now she’s gone,” Montel yelled, getting in Shannon’s face.
